Taste and Use

The unique honeyberry taste is a wonder. It is best described as a mixture of blueberry, plum and grape - with added zing. Its depth of flavour, together with the vibrant purple colour of its juice makes it a favourite with chefs who revel in its culinary possibilities.

And its the same flavour and colour profile - together with the health benefits - that make it certain to take the smoothie industry by storm. If you are a smoothie lover, this is your new essential ingredient.

Honeyberry also scores top marks as a dried or freeze dried berry snack, delicious ice cream flavouring, flavourful juice and much more - its versatility is one of it’s key attributes, and we’ve not even scratched the surface in terms of the possibilities.

Grown in Scotland

The Honeyberry, originating from Japan and Russia, is a hardy northern climate type bush. It doesn’t enjoy the scorching summers of many southern European countries. Which makes Scotland a perfect climate for them to thrive in.

Unlike most of Scotland’s other berries, we grow honeyberries in the soil, which means we reap the rich flavours and broad micro-nutrients that come from growing in Scotland’s natural ‘terroir’. We believe our natural growing philosophy allows us to produce the healthiest and tastiest honeyberries in the world - and to do so sustainably and responsibly.
